V-LINE at Major 2007 Water & Power Forums in Saudi Arabia and Canaries
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 11/06/2007
With the ending today of Saudi Water & Power Forum 2007 in Jeddah, V-LINE Europe completed a 10-day sojourn of two major global events in the high growth international water & power sector. For V-LINE it was a third consecutive year as an exhibitor in the third of a series of annual Forums hosted by the Ministry of Water & Electricity to bring together government, industry and financial organizations that will comprise the Water and Power Industry Privatization Program launched in the Kingdom in 2005.
V-LINE utilized its booth on the exhibition floor to present the integrated procurement/ logistics business model that has made it the global leading supplier to large plants of imported foreign spare parts direct from original manufacturers in Europe, USA and Japan.SWCC power and desalination plants and Sceco utilities have been important users of these services in Saudi Arabia for over 25 years and the company expects to extend its services to the new participants emerging out of the privatization program.
During the previous week Detlev Daues, V-LINE CEO, attended the IDA [International Desalination Association]World Congress in the Canary Islands to take part in the bi-annual business and technical meeting updating the global community of desalination plant owners and suppliers on new technology, issues & trends impacting the industry. Themes of this 11th IDA Congress included thermal desalination, design improvement, alternative techniques, regional perspectives and waste water reclamation and reuse.
“At V-LINE, increasing global demand for power, water and wastewater management are major growth drivers” according to Mr. Daues. "These areas represent 20% of our business. That is what makes these forums on Desalination [produces both water and power] and Middle East Privatization so important to our investment planning” he said. “Implementing technology for guiding global buying and export transportation requires continual trend updating” added Turgay Temur, Logistics Manager for the company.
