Deputy Prime Minister Walter Hirche meets EXIM RISSIN Japan

Osaka, Japan, 05/24/2007

Walter Hirche, Minister for Economics, Labour and Transport of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), and a delegation of Niedersachsen business executives and state officials completed a 4-city trade mission tour of Japan with a visit to Osaka.

During the Hakuba (Japanese for white horse, the state symbol of Niedersachsen) reception at the New Otani Hotel Osaka Mr. Nishihara S. Han, the owner of Exim Rissin and business associate of V-LINE EUROPE Hanover, stated to Minister Hirche ”It is interesting to learn that Niedersachsen and the Kansai signed a memorandum of supporting business relations just 18 years ago while our EXIM RISSAN relationship with V-LINE had already started in 1984.”

We are taking care of the supply chain to V-LINE global industrial plant customers from Japanese manufacturers of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) spare parts “said Hiroshi Nishihara, son of the owner and chief logistics manager in his organisation.

Minister Hirche was very interested in such a long lasting personal relationship and V-LINE CEO Detlev Daues agreed that it is not always easy to satisfy customers who are from different markets. “Japanese Original Parts manufacturers do not have the same freedom as in Europe to adjust to the desired delivery channels of final users” Mr. Daues said. “ The strong central control of their spare parts global supply channels can at times be a source of frustration to the machinery end users.”

All agreed that the positive change in the Japanese economic situation, similar to Germany, opens up new opportunities to work on the value proposition for both parties, the foreign plant operators and the Japanese parts manufacturers, and this should be the focus now of these “old” partners.
